What Do You Feel Like?

All across this earth there are so many things going on and many people that are experiencing hardships of all sorts.  We run across people and surrounding by many folks that are our kin and we have found out that they are not feeling like sunshine.

We understand that sunshine is warm and bright and radiates at all times when it shows through the clouds and shines bright on clear days.  That is what we look forwarded in people, that radiance and that warmth in an ever changing world.  That type of people is what helps the world to keep on turning for a lot of folks.

We must stay close to those that are similar in our nature which is to spread love and to show that concern and heartfelt caring for each other.  We have to stay strong for those who need that support.  

There are numerous homeless people in the world and they need that ray of hope to stay alive and we can give it all with donations that will keep them supply with the necessities to keep them going.

No matter what you do or where you go always remember there is someone in the world, in your state, in your community even in your neighborhood that is always in need and if we reach out that love and appreciate always extends back it's hand to us in so many ways and one is that sunshine in our lives.

Strong among the ruggedness! 

I would like to extend my token of appreciation to all that read my blog and have actually helped in gathering items for the homeless, addicted and disabled.  I am in the process of starting back up with the OMG blog site again, had to take a little break, computer acting up, time for a new one!  I am also focusing on a couple of things and coming back stronger.

I want to say, like the plant growing among the rocks, that rugged terrain, it still is vibrant and prospering, absorbing the precious son (yes the son) and the spirit of the rain constantly and it is determined to be!  

Stay tuned to the comeback of the Oh My Goodness sharing and caring and showing love, now that the pandemic is slowing down.  We can once again go out into the world and feed, clothe and touch the people in so many ways.

One Step At A Time!

One Step At A Time!

There has been some changes in this world recently, which are life changing for all of us.  There have been lives lost, and there have been new births.

The economy has been shut down for several months and now it is slowly opening back up.  What can we do to make it a better world and a better place for all of us.  

There has been some changes that are like "one step at a time!"  Some people will create new businesses, while some have lost their jobs, but it is a great time to do something different in your life to make a difference in others lives.

When we speak of "One Step At A Time" there is good news for Homeless in Los Angeles, which I believe will take on shape and form in other States of the United States of America.

A U.S. District Court Judge David O. Carter has recently issued a preliminary injunction on Friday that will direct the city and the county to actually and finally relocate 6,000 to 7,000 very homeless people that have been residing near Los Angeles's ramps, underpasses and overpasses, which is very dangerous for these people.  

The concern are there could be an earthquake and the thought of all of those people it would be disastrous.  What about all of those fumes that come off the cars passing each day all day long.  These are concerns of the officials.  

The federal judge has ordered officials in Los Angeles and Los Angeles County to find alternative shelter for all of those homeless people that are dwelling near the freeways and especially during the out breakout of the coronavirus.

This is wonderful and should have been done a long time ago.  In our city the same thing should be happening and other states.  Los Angeles is just the start and there is more work to do but it is a beginning for a change and an opportunity for the government and those in position of power to reach out and help!  We will see more changes coming in the following months ahead of us that will be life changing to not only to the homeless but to the people in general.  The world is ready for these changes to be implemented for we can't keep going the way we were going.

Remember here in our state, if you want to give please give.  Reach out and call your favorite ministry or a shelter or places that need your help and just help and do what you can.  Everything and everybody count!

Reach out and help someone, it will do your spirit good!

Where do we go from here?

Social what?

Honestly people, can we go on like this another moment.  Keeping our distance from each other the rest of our lives.  It has been proven that if you sneeze it will not only spread to 6 feet but way past nine feet!  All of our lives we have been living with each other with worst circumstances and much riskier diseases. 

 

So what is really going on.  We have a right to know, because people have lost their jobs, business, love ones and their sense of security in a system that wants to push a few bucks at us and we are to be happy campers!  Now we can rather feel the hurt and abandonment that the homeless feel, especially our Veterans that put their lives on the lines for us and have to be last in getting any kind of help or financial assistance!

 We are told to stay apart and to wear masks and to stay in our homes no matter if you are healthy!  It also has been proven by science that our immune system needs to be subjected to germs, viruses and disease to create a stronger immune system.  Which after so many years it seems like it was working.  Of course there are some people whom are just sickly, especially the elder and even children become susceptible in being sick from contact or exposure.  But in reality that is a part of the life force that exist in this world, some will die (and all will die eventually), and many will survive!

This social distancing is keeping us from each other and those who need us to continue to look after and take care of, primary the homeless and the elderly and children!

How can we as a nation of strong people become so weak

 that we can't even fend for ourselves let alone for others that need us to protection and defend for them?

It's time to get back to what we can do to reconnect with each other and with the world!  We must forge ahead with confidence and courage to consult with our government officials and leaders and tell them they are going to be held accountable for this if they don't show us where it is necessary to continue this lock-down and separation which is totally impossible with 9 billion people in the world~!

Stand up and contact your leaders in your community and in the government and voice your opinion about how this is ruining peoples lives and that the American people and the world has gone through much worst!  We don't want hand outs, we want justice and liberty as it is written in our constitution!

Don't forget to reach out to someone homeless and in need!

People are getting restless in their everyday life because they want to get back out and go back to work, and ready to socialize once again!

Please if you do go back to work, continue your washing hands routine.

This pandemic will go away soon and we must be patient with ourselves and others.

We at OMG want everyone to remain safe and keep the faith that everything will be better.

There are many homeless people that need your help in making sure that they get the clothing and items that they can use right now, which will help them stay safe and sanitary.

Be Mindful

"Be Mindful"

In this trying time of life and all the many things going on that are hampering so many, like job layoffs, food consumption, money, viruses, quarantining, social distancing, contactless payments, change of weather, no school in, staying at home with all the time etc. we must be mindful that there are others that can't do what you are doing!

The homeless is experiencing a rapid change in the weather, subjection to the virus, lack of food, water, sanitary needs are on the rise, no roof over head, no clean bed, or clothes to change into.

We find ourselves complaining all the time.  I can't go out everything is closed.  No more fun shopping, no more movies (unless at home on netflix), no more gambling, no more out of town traveling at will.  No more beaches, no more fancy restaurants to choose from.  You get the point.  

In reality, being able to have a break from the j.o.b  can be a refreshing thing if you think about it.  We all need a rest from the overbearing jobs where you have to literally work ten hours or more sometimes.  The worrisome folks you have to deal with.  The long commute, the pay, the tiring long days you have to put in, through all types of weather.  

The hustle and bustle of the world literally have caught up to a lot of us and now we can just rest and let this thing past.  You see the homeless can't say that.  They have to continue to seek shelter, food and a place to lay their head at night or day.

We can kind spend time with our love ones, especially the babies and appreciate some of the time lost from the fast pace world.  We can now hopeful enjoy our spouses and love ones to the extent that we know where they are and how they are doing.  Most homeless people have family and relatives but because of their situation, they find themselves all alone!

We must "be mindful" of them.  If you can help, reach out as often as you can to the homeless, they will appreciate your thoughts, prayers and assistance in any form that you can perform for them.

We at OMG wish everyone well no matter who you are and where you are going and what ever position of life you are in and to remind everyone to be safe!

Coronavirus-Covid-19 and the Homeless

Where are our homeless and how are they fairing in this time of 

sickness on this earth plain?  Do they know really what's going on.  Are they being safe and practicing good hygiene?  Can they, are they able to keep clean and sanitize?  We haven't heard many reports on the homeless getting sick.  What is their remedy?  We all know that they do not have access to the water as often as they could and other necessities that helps us make it through these trying times.
  It appears that they have something greater on their side, which is not made with hands.  If you think about it, the very thought of not be able to wash your hands on a constant basis is nerve wrecking and that very situation is plaguing our homeless.  They don't have the facilities to help them in keeping clean.
 Our prayers go out to them and our efforts are always constantly trying to provide for them when we can.
 Of course the city is basically on lock down but if there is anyone that can help by donating soap and water among other things such as non perishable items they are always welcome.  You can call OMG at 502.495.3322 and we will be more than happy to pick up items for the homeless people that are out here in the world subjective to not only this virus but this madness.

This is a time to extend your hand in anyway that you can if nothing else sending out prayers is a must as well.  Our government officials need those prayers as well as our Doctors and Nurses that might be overworked and subjected to the very thing they are trying to heal in others.

That is why it is important that we do our part and hope that this whole ordeal passes over.

We are here to help in anyway that we can.  If there is anybody that is in need of food or any other items that we can gather within reason, keeping in mind that we all are encourage to keep our distance from each other and to remain in our homes when all possible.  

We understand this is a global thing and the whole world is going through a cleansing if that is a way to look at it.  We have done so much harm and damage to our earth that she and nature is in rebellion and it is taking a tow on us all, especially after we as free spirited people are used to going to and fro.

Now is the time to put that energy to use in our hearts and minds and create a desire among the earth for it and us all to heal.  

At the end of the day, we have gone through many changes in the past and this is just another one (on a larger scale) that will past too!

Keep your faith and keep your hygiene up washing your hands and not coughing on others.  Refrain from gathering in large crowds at this particular point so that we can eradicate this enemy.

     OMG MEETING

It has come time for  another meeting, and to collect items for the homeless in our area.

We are happy to announce that the last organization (Lost Sheep Ministries), we donated to was happy to received the donations that were given to the homeless.

We will be collecting for St. Vincent de Paul.  They help with individuals and families in crisis and helps them navigate a path to help them become stable in their lives.  St. Vincent de Paul has help many people throughout time and also has a kitchen that feeds the hungry.

We will keep you updated on how donations are coming in.  Spring is coming so donations like socks, personal items, (toothbrushes, deodorant, etc.), more blankets can be useful, and if you decide to donate money call them up and get directions in how to donate money to them.

Stand up and be counted!

Climb and be Counted For!

The road you have travel is the road you had to go, for you needed to pass those trails and hurdles along the way!  It's not that you wanted to have to be addicted, live on the streets or even lose your home, just that things were not permanent, ever !

Speaking of change, you truly had to change because you knew that one day you will climb and rise once again.  Never giving up was your passion even in the moments that you experience the times when you didn't have anything that could make it better at that moment!  But look at you, you made that decision to climb and be counted for!

The memory of being down at the rock bottom is just a dream maybe an illusion that you just knew was to end soon and the beginning where you left off some times ago was here!

Don't mind the hurdles and obstacles it is just a thought that got corrected once you saw the light and the long but short climb in time!

Stand up and be accounted for, because that is your obligation your duty to pick yourself up and never look back!

Congratulation to all of those people out in the world that have gone through the transformation and have come out of the storm into the light!  The calm, being able to flourish once again in life to extend a hand to others less fortunate than you!

Don't give up and continue to climb!

Counted!

It doesn't matter who you are and what you are doing and what you have gone through.  Even not knowing your face and the many tears you have shed, are not of concern.  You exist and you are real and you have experienced the same or similar things that I or others have at one time or another.  

Your very presence is obvious because others see you sitting by the roadside, especially when it is very cold!  You are covered in the very blanket that the person down the street gave to give to you!  You stand awaiting the judgement that most cast your way not understanding why they think they are exempt from your dilemma, especially in this society geared toward the failure of not one but all!  You understand the high prices of living and they haven't become one with reality as of yet until it hits!

You hear the voices from the cars that pass by what can we do about unknown names addictions?  You smell the sorrow coming from the van that just lost their home and no where to go, yet you remember ninety days ago that same car was cheering for their daughters team!

You remember you are counted for!

The team delivered the donated blankets, tents, socks, shows and personal items that were donated by Mr. Joe and Ms. Pam to the Lost Sheep Ministries Thursday 30, 2020. They were happy to received the donated items.

We want to say we are very happy to deliver items that the homeless need for this cold season.  We send our love and prayers to them all and hope that their needs are met.

OMG MEET-UP 

The OMG team is happy to meet-up with Mr. Minnick Thursday January 30, 2020.  We will be giving blankets, tents, socks, couple pair of new shoes and some personal items to the Lost Sheep Ministries homeless people.  

We always will help serve them dinner that evening.  Anyone can visit the ministry on any Thursday at 6:00 pm to help serve the homeless.   You can contact, Mr. Minnick at 502.494.8470, or visit 800 East Liberty Street, Louisville, Ky.

It has been very cold lately and there have been other organizations and individuals that are donating blankets to this ministry along with other ministries.

Funding for homeless!

There is a 1 million dollar budget for summer fiscal year 2020 for the homeless for the city of Louisville in Kentucky.

Homeless has gotten so bad all across America that it is a definite that something has to be done.  We are beginning to see more cities budget for the homeless, and it is about time.  The budget has been allocated to go toward beds at several facilities, food and health services for the many homeless.  These programs will kick in around summer 2020 but right now there are many people that are with the Saint Outreach program that are walking the streets to find out what the homeless people need.

We with OMG are preparing to meet up with Mr. Mirrick, who is with Lost Sheep Ministry, to provided blankets and tents and socks and personal items, like soap, deodorant, tooth brushes etc. for the people.  We had quite a few donations come in and in our previous blog you will be able to see the list of names of individuals that donated various items.  Again thanks to them for taking the opportunity to help others less fortunate.

2020 Perfect Vision

2020 Perfect Vision

We enter into 2020 the new year with many dreams and wishes we have had all through the years.  We have suffered and been overjoyed with new insights into our lives.  We have traveled the road of obstacles and achievements to soar into a new perspective and way of thinking.  We grind into our minds the ultimate clarity of what we see and what we will do upon what we have seen.

We give thanks unto the teachers of the cosmos and the giver  of grace and mercy, for that is what has sustained us in the time and moment.  We look upon the future with ease and a sign of relief of the haunting but pleasing past.  We linger in the moment but glide into the time of now.  We speak, we preach, we teach how to be spoken to, preached at and taught new avenues to exist in.

We find our way but lose our attitude of never, and per-take in abundance of the heighten reality of our existence.  We numb ourselves with love and sting our peers with questions of doubt but surety that things will be what they will!  We give homage to whatever and recognize our self-worth sometimes soon.  We appreciate the thoughts of the world and give back peace.  

2020 Perfect Vision is what we see for ourselves and our offspring and those that spring off of us in due time.  Don't need no eye glasses here!
